The simple answer is because it works !!
Osteopathy is a type of manual therapy that helps you to achieve great health and wellbeing.
Osteopaths diagnose problems within the body using subtle touch which is known as palpation. This gives us information about the body’s muscles, tissue quality and fluid dynamics.
We treat the cause not just the symptoms.
Pain, inflammation, swelling are all symptoms of dysfunction, as osteopaths we look for the root cause of the problem in order to help prevent reoccurrence of injury.
It takes 5 years to train as an osteopath and we have to complete 30hrs a year of continuing professional development (CPD).
Just as you see the dentist for checkups or a car has an MOT I feel it is as important to look after your body, great physical health has a big impact on our general well-being not to mention our mental health.
As an Osteopath I feel its important to re educate all of my clients about injury prevention and rehabilitation so that you have the tools to help yourself as much as possible.
